Introduction to Watercolour

This course will suit beginners, those who are a bit rusty and those who feel there are gaps in their knowledge. With an initial focus on learning about the properties of watercolour and the basics of painting with it, we will explore and experiment before moving on to look at the method.

Using provided reference material, we will progress as a group to learn how to paint simple subjects.

Intermediate Watercolour

This course is suited to those who have a basic grasp of the fundamentals of watercolour painting and want to build their skills. We will begin by focusing on simpler methodology and using the basics of watercolour before applying these concepts.

Using provided reference material, we will  progress from painting simple subjects to more complex subjects as your skills develop.

Continuing with Watercolour

This course will focus on further expanding your use of watercolour and will suit those who already have some knowledge of painting with it.

Using the reference material provided, we will continue to learn as a group through demonstration and individual practise and you will over the weeks produce your own set of paintings based on what you have learned.

Weekly online Watercolour Courses

Courses will be aimed at either beginners or improvers and will be taught using a combination of live tuition, during which there will be demonstration, staged time for individual practise and time to ask questions. One-to-one feedback and advice will be available in between sessions.

You will need some computer skills and some knowledge of online learning to be able to access this course. Unfortunately help and tuition with this won’t be available during sessions.

Courses run for six weeks and costs £96 per person per course, with the next set of courses beginning 28th September 2021.
